GENERAL HOSPITAL FAN WEEKEND BINGO NIGHT!

On Saturday, July 22, Bingo-boy and Belle braved the heat in THE VALLEY in order to bring some bingo joy to a bunch of General Hospital fans who also braved the heat just to see their favorite General Hospital actor and/or actress. The event was at The Sportsman's Lodge and we were OUTSIDE with just the occasional breeze to cool us off. Regardless of the heat, this is out third year and we had a blast. The event benefited The Kurth & Taylor Foundation which helps seriously ill children by providing them with wonderful playsets foor their hospital rooms.

Yes, Belle's parents came to THIS bingo too! They are such sports and did not win a damn thing the entire time they were here.

The event was hosted by General Hospital's Wally Kurth. He has a huge and loyal fan base. I swear, he could have just stood there and breathed and they would have applauded. Nice guy who does great philanthropic work. At the end of each bingo, he auctions off his shirt and give the proceeds to the foundation.

Our door diva for this event was Kay- the Sierra Madre Rose Float door diva. Kay is caught here cooling herself off.

I remember watching General Hospital when Luke and Laura were being held hostage on the island and Elizabeth Taylor made a guest appearance and there was this great character named Monica Quartermaine that I thought was hot. So was I thrilled when Leslie Charleston showed up? You bet! And she was naughty! Love to get her for a Wednesday night at Hammie Em's.

One of the hottest characters on General Hospital is played by Ignacio Serriccio, who came and called a few "bilingual" balls. He is seriously funny and promises to come on a Wednesday night soon.

A CELEBRITY BINGO PARTY IN MALIBU!

On Friday, July 21, Belle Aire and Bingo-boy traveled ALLLLL the way to Broad Beach in Malibu (that's where all of the BIG industry folks like David Geffen and Cher live) for a private party hosted by actress Jami Gertz ("Still Standing," "Twister," and remember "Square Pegs"?) and her husband for his company. The weather was beautiful and we thought you'd like a glimpse of the beautiful surroundings!

This photo is a keeper. How many of you have actually seen Belle Aire eat? Usually the lips are on perfect and therefore no food is touching them. With Belle Aire are her parents, Ken and Phyllis. They are both extremely beautiful and two of the nicest folks you can ever meet. And very supportive of bingo too!

Bingo was played out by the pool which was in the front yard! That's because the backyard is the beach!

This is the view of the backyard and beyond it are sand dunes and then the glorious ocean.

There was something for everyone at this party. Kids had several art projects to choose from and also were able to get henna tattoos. This company treats its employees very well.

Bingo-boy and Jami Gertz were caught by paparazzi in an intimate embrace! Maybe she will become the new Mrs. Bingo-boy!

WEST HOLLYWOOD BINGO WITH MUSIC!

On Wednesday, July 12 Bingo-boy previewed two songs written by Jamie Karen and himself. He met Jamie when she played the role of Linda Lovelace in a workshop production of his musical "Lovelace: The Musical" and discovered her great talent. Jamie and her husband Mark Deklin performed "It's A Good Thing" for both shows and Jamie soloed on "The First Time" for the second show. Bingo-boy and Jamie are now lining up offers for the songs and plan to run away with all the loot they make. Okay, Mark can come too.

Jamie Karen and Mark Deklin sang and called a few balls. This is one great looking couple, yes?

This guy really takes "O-68: You do me and I'll owe you one" seriously! You can find this shirt in the young mens department of Target.
COWBOY BINGO IN PALM SPRINGS

YEE HAH! The Golden State Rodeo Association rolled in to Legendary Bingo for a night of bronco- busting bingo on Monday, July 10. Yes, Palm Springs is hot and so was the crowd! And check out Belle Aire's new balls!

Yes, size does matter but bigger does not necessarrily mean better. Belle Aire was quite confused by the big white balls. She likes hers colored. Oh, well, we'll use this bingo wheel for private parties only.

"Michelle" gingerly sips a soda while holding her dauber. She was parched.

The Mystery Cowboy. What's under that ten gallon hat?

"Lady Ella" was all decked out in her finest western gear. Around her neck was an animal of some kind Growl!

This lovely couple is the reigning Mister and Miss Gay Rodeo. They host BBQ's for the neighbors on the weekends and recently began marriage counseling. Typical suburbanites!

BINGO-BOY DOES IT "DOGGIE STYLE!"

PAWS (Pets Are Wonderful Support) in Los Angeles recently hosted an event up at The Gene Autry Museum and invited all the dogs! Tons of people showed up with their pooches and picnicked on the lawn until dark when they screened doggie movies! Very fun idea and the event was packed with canines leading their owners around. Bingo-boy did not bring his dogs- they prefer not to socialize with other dogs- but he did take some shots of pooches that you may enjoy...

Dude looks like a lady!

A face that could break your heart. "Please! Just one more Liva-snap! Please!"

Dogs with yellow bandanas were also up for adoption. I just know someone snapped up this big hearted fella. Our friends from The Bill Foundation were there and I am sure they join me in telling you- ADOPT A DOG!

"I can't believe I ate an entire pot roast. And a bag of Funyuns. And also the entire bowl of complimentary Flava-snacks at that the "Doggie Dress-up" booth (that was disturbing). I have never been this full. Ever. I don't think I'll ever eat again.....
Hey, is that a half-digested Milkbone! It's mine!"

This little beauty belongs to Bingo-boy's friend Tiger Lily. Her name is Ali and she is modeling the latest in faux-mink jackets from Licker and Licker of Beverly HIlls. Don't hate her because she's beautiful...

BINGO WITH BRUCE VILANCH & A HOT HAIRDRESSER

On Wednesday night, June 21, our 7 pm show benefited The Susan G. Komin Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk. Our special ballcalling guests for the evening were CaCee Cobb (featured on the Jessica Simpson show "Newlyweds") and Ken Paves- salon owner and "stylist to the stars." Us Magazine recently called Ken "the hottest Hollywood stylist in the business!" Ken donated a few makeovers as auction items and really helped the charity make some money.

Ken Paves and Cacee Cobb called the bingo games together.

Our 9 pm show benefited The Celebration Theater and began with a kick-ass song from their new show. Then Mr. Bruce Vilanch took the stage and showed us why he is one of the highest paid comedy writers in the business. When Bingo-boy asked him if he ever dreamed that he and John Travolta would be going out for the same roles (Bruce was Edna Turnblad on Broadway in "Hairspray" and John Travolta is playing the role in the film)- Bruce replied "John and I have been going after the same PARTS for years." Hmmmm. I wonder what Bruce meant by that?

Bruce Vilanch calls the balls.

HBO "ENTOURAGE" PREMIERE PARTY

We were asked to host the "bingo room" at the "Entourage" premiere party held on June 1 at The Hollywood Social Club (formerly The Hollywood Athletic Club- I suppose that means instead of exercising, they just all stand around now). Over 1000 people attended the party which also had roller derby, a burlesque room, dancing and lots of food and booze. Tons of celebrities made the scene including Paris and Nicky Hilton (Paris didn't know the difference between "Kobe Beef" and "vegetarian"). We were one big, huge hit. We played bingo for those freaks for over four hours and gave away forty prize bags. Let's just say we were very, very popular!

Bridgette of Madison County co-hosted with Belle Aire. Here she is at the "callback board" trying to explain to bingo virgins the meaning of "dinner for two, sauce on the side."

Doesn't Belle look sassy? Belle Aire and Bridgette both had their wigs designed by Mr. Dennis Stokely- a master of big "event" hair. He works at The Ken Pares Salon in Beverly HIlls. Check him out for your next big event!

In answer to your question, yes they are drunk here.

MOMMIE DEAREST GOES TO PALM SPRINGS!

On Monday, June 5, Belle Aire and Bingo-boy trekked to Palm Springs and, with Paramount Pictures presented "Mommie Dearest Bingo Night" for all of the our desert bingo freaks. The evening was in honor of the DVD release of the 25 year anniversary of Mommie Dearest and we literally sent everyone to "Bingo Camp!"

Our special guest for the evening was renowned drag queen Cassandra Fever as "Joan Crawford" and she was joined by two lovely "ladies" of the desert- "Michelle" (L) and "Lady Ella "(R).

This young couple brought their favorite Joan Crawford pic and also pics of their dogs to bring them luck. Alas they didn't win a single game. Damn you Joan Crawford!

CHRISTINA! BRING ME THE BINGO PADDLE!

Our surprise guest for the evening was Ann Walker, one of the stars of "Sordid Lives" and a good friend of Belle's. She'll be back calling the bingo numbers in July and that should thrill all of her Palm Springs fans- of which there are many.

JUST ANOTHER WEDNESDAY NIGHT!

If there is such a thing at Hamburger Mary's. On May 31, we hosted two sold out events on a very hot "too hot for this time of year" night in West Hollywood. Belle Aire showed up in an ensemble made for the weather. Hot was not the word for it...

Our special guest for the 9 p.m. show was Cleo King. She plays the nanny on the funny new Tori Spelling show "So NoTORIous." She will also be seen in the upcoming film 'Dreamgirls" with Beyonce!

The big news on this night was that as of one week, the walls would be coming down between Hamburger Mary's and the old Beijing Cafe and beginning on our next bingo night, we will have a brand new huge restaurant to frolick in! The "walk of pelt" will take FOREVER!

MOTHER'S DAY AND DOLLY PARTON! Week of May 15, 2006

Belle Aire and Bingo-boy started off the week in Palm Springs with a "Day After Mother's Day" Mother's Day bingo night. As usual, the crowd was fun and frolicky.

I don't know who's mother this is, but I doubt she's really a top.

Andy from 333 Bed & Breakfast brought his beautiful mother...and she brought all of her bingo good luck charms- including a miniature bottle of Tabasco Sauce (?). All of that luck kept building throughout the night until it burst forth and she won the grand prize game.

This family had quite a night. The father was paddled for his birthday, the mother was paddled for her false bingo and the son just thought "payback is a bitch!" They also won a few games and some raffle prizes!

"DOLLY PARTON" VISITS WEHO LEGENDARY BINGO!
Okay. so it's not really Dolly Parton. Her real name is Sandy Anderson and she is one of the world's only female Dolly Parton impersonators. She came to Wednesday night bingo to call a few games as part of an episode of "Plastic Surgery Before & After" on The Discovery Channel. When she walked in, the crowd just stared with their mouths wide open. In person, you wouldn't be able to tell the real from the "fake."

"Dolly" came outside and did a little "visitin'" with waiter Tye and Door Diva Donna.

BINGO FLASHBACK!

Here are a few bingo memories from the Legendary Bingo Vault...

Tori Spelling was a lot of fun. We held a bingo night to raise money for her animal rescue and she made sure the place was packed. At one point, we were auctioning off a beautiful diamond necklace that Tori had designed and, to up the bidding, she offered to give a LAP DANCE to the high bidder. The WOMAN who won the necklace was thrilled at the "90210" lap dance and I will have to say, she did quite a professional job of it. Pics of the "Lesbian Lapdance" ran in all of the tabloids. Tori and I live by the same rules- anything for charity!

When "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" star Nia Vardalos came to Legendary Bingo, the place went wild. Not only was she a great guest but very generous with her talent for the charity. Someone offered a big donation if Nia would sing and she broke out with "I'm Just A Girl Who Can't Say No" from "Connie & Carla." Nia brought down the house!

Okay, come on now. Ed Asner at bingo? When his publicist called me, I said "Are you sure he'd have fun doing this?" She assured me that Ed was a great guy and up for a good time. Ed showed up and it was as if royalty entered the room. People were speechless. Ed sat down to eat and took his sweet time doing it. Finally I decided to start the evening and said to the crowd that our celebrity guest was "still eating." Ed stops between bites and yells out "Yeah, and I'll bet you're too goddamned cheap to buy me dessert!" I-love-Ed-Asner.

BINGO AT HOLLYWOOD'S GARDEN OF EDEN
On Tuesday night, May 2, Belle and Bingo-boy invaded Hollywood's beautiful Garden Of Eden nightclub to raise money for Planned Parenthood. More than 300 people jammed into this Hollywood Boulevard nightspot and enjoyed food, drink, raffle prizes, silent and live auctions and of course bingo. The event raised more than $15000.00 for Planned Parenthood programs!

Belle Aire relaxes out on the lush patio with Billie Jo Niedlinger, Director Of Special Events for Garden of Eden. Looking good girls!

A look at some of the crowd for the event. There seemed to be "daubin' people" everywhere you looked!

These two good looking volunteers were selling raffle tickets. And selling raffle tickets. And selling raffle tickets. I don't think they ever stopped!

Near the end of the event, Hila (who was my point person for the event) got up and thanked all of the hard-working volunteers. Unfortunately, Belle Aire fell asleep during her speech.
Or possibly her false eyelashes were glued together...

THE SET DECORATORS SOCIETY OF AMERICA (www.setdecorators.org) and UNDER THE BRIDGES AND ON THE STREETS (www.underthebridges.org) were the beneficiaries of a wild night of Wednesday night bingo at Hamburger Mary's.

Cherry Fillin' arrived in nurses drag and raised everyone's pulses!

Peter Gurski is the set decorator for "Four Kings" and "Twins." He and friend Janet cuddled up (platonically) and were great live auction bidders. A note: Peter often paints his toenails in bright colors and patterns. Just thought you might want to know.

Our good friend, actress Lisa Ann Walter ("Shall We Dance?") was our celebrity guest and somehow drank ten "Big Gulps" while on stage (you can see the cup in the picture) . Believe it or not, she only had to pee once! Where the hell does it go? And...does she sleep?

Waiter Tye is usually more friendly than this. But look at those green eyes....

PICS FROM SIERRA MADRE BINGO NIGHT
On Saturday, April 22 Belle Aire and Bingo-boy headed out to Sierra Madre for our bi-annual bingo night to help build their float for The Rose Parade (we raise money, don't actually build the float- but they do, but not on that night...never mind). It was a capacity crowd and everyone had a great time- including all of those whose friends paid to have them paddled by The Fabulous Belle Aire. Anything for charity!
Belle Aire as Rose Princess....with a paddle.

These are two of the "Divas" who sit right in front and have come to every Sierra Madre bingo since the beginning over two years ago! Go Divas!

Jeanne Mills (on right) coordinates this event, works the food tables and drives the float in the parade! I think she actually has a life too...amazing woman.

Kay Sappington (on left- duh) is our "Sierra Madre Door Diva" and greets everyone with a smile- except when they're dumb. Then she smiles even bigger.

Four generations of Lomboys came to bingo! A beautiful family and pretty good bingo players. Especially the baby...

...until he nodded off in the middle of "The Sally O'Malley G- G50! I like to kick and....zzzzzzzz"
